BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. was established in May 2003 as a joint venture between the BMW Group and Brilliance Group. Its business covers research and development, procurement, production, sales, and after-sales services of BMW brand vehicles in China. BMW Brilliance focuses on high-quality development and is committed to becoming a sustainable premium personal mobility service provider, leading the sustainable development of the entire value chain of China's automotive industry. BMW Brilliance has an advanced production base in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and a subsidiary, LINGYUE Digital Information Technology Co., Ltd., with offices in Beijing and Nanjing. BMW Brilliance currently employs approximately 26,000 people and has over 450 local suppliers. It has been the largest taxpayer in Shenyang for 18 consecutive years. Meanwhile, BMW's sales and service network covers the whole country, with over 740 dealership stores and service outlets in China, achieving the highest customer satisfaction among premium automobile brands. The Shenyang production base of BMW Brilliance is the largest production base in the BMW Group's global production network. Guided by the BMW Group's BMW iFACTORY production strategy vision, the BMW Brilliance production base adopts the most advanced manufacturing processes and digital innovations to produce technologically leading products. Currently, models produced by BMW Brilliance include: the new BMW 5 Series long-wheelbase and the innovative all-electric BMW i5, BMW 3 Series (including long-wheelbase and standard wheelbase), all-electric BMW i3, new BMW X1 and innovative BMW iX1, BMW X3, all-electric BMW iX3, and the new BMW X5. In 2023, BMW Brilliance produced approximately 728,000 vehicles. The Dadong Plant, Tiexi Plant, and Lida Plant are responsible for complete vehicle production. In addition, the Tiexi Plant is also the location of BMW Brilliance's Research and Development Center and Powertrain Plant, where the latest BMW 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder turbocharged engines and the latest fifth-generation high-voltage power batteries are produced. In 2022, with the official opening of the Lida Plant and the opening of the product upgrade project at the Dadong Plant, the Shenyang production base of BMW Brilliance underwent a large-scale upgrade. In May 2023, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of BMW Brilliance, the company announced the full commencement of the BMW sixth-generation power battery project with a total investment of 10 billion RMB. After completion, the project will produce BMW sixth-generation high-voltage power batteries, which will be used to assemble Neue Klasse models to be produced locally starting in 2026. LINGYUE Digital Information Technology Co., Ltd. was established in January 2019 as the first independent digital business company established by the BMW Group in the global market. It is dedicated to driving the digital transformation of the BMW Group in China in areas such as omni-channel marketing, sales management, and customer lifecycle management. It plays a crucial role in promoting BMW's digital transformation focused on "customer-centricity," and serves as the group's data center, data service provider, and innovation technology incubator. Nanjing Branch of LINGYUE Digital Information Technology Co., Ltd. (BMW Information Technology Center) The LINGYUE Nanjing Branch is a wholly owned, independently accounted branch of LINGYUE. It is another important strategic deployment for BMW's digital development in China. It is the first BMW IT center in China and even in Asia, and also a powerful IT engine for BMW's digital transformation, providing digital solutions for automotive research and development, digital factories, sales and marketing, and the entire automotive process, bringing efficient value to BMW's continued success in China.
