Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection, Certification & Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as: Shanghai Vehicle Inspection) was established in 2003. It is a leading third-party motor vehicle product inspection institution in East and South China, and is the National Motor Vehicle Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai) and the National New Energy Motor Vehicle Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA). It has passed the laboratory accreditation of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). After years of development, Shanghai Vehicle Inspection has obtained all national authorizations for automobile and motorcycle products, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's vehicle "Announcement" inspection, the Ministry of Environmental Protection's vehicle environmental protection catalog inspection, the Ministry of Transport's vehicle fuel consumption inspection, and the CNCA's vehicle and parts product (CCC) certification inspection. It is also the defect vehicle product recall appraisal and inspection institution of the State Administration for Market Regulation and a national import vehicle inspection institution, the only national metrological verification station for automotive special instruments, the only national intelligent connected vehicle industry metrological testing center approved for construction, and one of the first "automated operation" industry R&D centers.
