Jointown Shourentang

The PPP project of Building B of Wuhan Social Welfare Comprehensive Building is the first PPP pilot project for a public elderly care institution in Wuhan. Located at No. 198 Fazhan Avenue, Hankou, Wuhan, it is jointly operated by Shourentang, Jointown Pharmaceutical and the Wuhan Municipal Government, and is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2017. It is currently the largest institutional elderly care PPP demonstration project in Central China, positioned as a high-end private comprehensive elderly care and nursing home in Wuhan. The implementation of this project is conducive to raising the level of elderly care services in Wuhan, improving the supply structure of elderly care services, and filling the shortage of elderly care beds. The project covers a land area of 20,603 square meters, with a total floor area of 99,145 square meters. Above ground there are 25 floors with a floor area of 86,729 square meters; underground there is 1 floor with a floor area of 12,416 square meters. The building height is 99.90 meters, consisting of two comprehensive towers, A and B. Tower B operates under the ROT model, with a total floor area of 44,850 square meters and 1,077 designed beds. It builds a 'walled garden without walls' that integrates social care, day care, home-based elderly care, community-based elderly care and medical-nursing care into a 'five-in-one' service model, targeting mainly elderly people who are advanced in age, have chronic diseases, or require semi-nursing and nursing care, while also accommodating the elderly care needs of surrounding communities and home-based services, creating a '15-minute elderly care circle', and building an inclusive city-level medical-nursing integrated elderly care service institution based on quality daily care, centered on professional and distinctive rehabilitation, and highlighted by rich spiritual enjoyment.
Shourentang will be responsible for managing daily operations, leveraging its comprehensive elderly care and medical nursing experience as well as its well-established management team, and giving play to the advantages and international network of its single largest shareholder, Perennial Real Estate Holdings Limited ('Perennial'). Perennial is a Singapore-listed real estate and healthcare company with three core healthcare business lines in China: hospitals and medical services, maternal and postpartum care management, and elderly care services. Jointown Pharmaceutical will leverage its expertise in core business areas: pharmaceuticals, hospital management and medical equipment. The Wuhan Municipal Government will provide resources to support the establishment of the project and work hand in hand with partners to improve the level of comprehensive elderly care and medical services in Wuhan.
