Zhejiang Lab is a high-energy science and technology innovation platform built with the full support of Zhejiang Province to thoroughly implement the national strategy of building a strong science and technology country and driving innovation-driven development. Aiming to become a national strategic scientific and technological force, the laboratory targets three major strategic needs: national strategic frontiers, scientific and technological innovation transformation, and strategic industrial innovation. It concentrates on the single goal of intelligent computing excellence, building systematic innovation capabilities in computing power, data, and models, promoting "AI+" science and technology and "AI+" global cooperation, serving national strategies and Zhejiang's development needs, and empowering the development of new quality productive forces.

Systematic Innovation Capability Support
The laboratory adheres to a systematic layout of computing power, data, and models: it has built a computing cluster capable of training trillion-parameter models, successfully developed the Nanhu computing framework, and won the first prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award; broke through key technologies in data de-shelling, producing and aggregating PB-level scientific data; and completed from 0 to 1 the training of the 236 billion parameter 021 scientific basic model, jointly developing models in fields such as geoscience, astronomy, life sciences, and materials, solidifying the technical foundation for "AI+" science and technology development.

The laboratory deeply advances the pilot reform of "integration of education, science and technology, and talent," using research tasks as traction, and jointly exploring the "seed class" model with different innovation entities, achieving deep integration of talent cultivation and collaborative problem-solving, efficiently cultivating practical talents with full-stack capabilities in large models, and providing strong support for promoting the transformation of research paradigms and the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation.
