China Railway 19th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as the 9th Division of the Railway Corps of the People's Liberation Army of China, was established in August 1949, and has gone through different historical periods including the Changsha Uprising, Guangxi Bandit Suppression, Jingjiang Flood Diversion, the Korean War, and domestic construction. In January 1984, it was collectively transferred to the Ministry of Railways and reorganized as the 19th Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Railways. In December 2001, the enterprise was restructured and renamed China Railway 19th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., affiliated with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, as an extra-large construction enterprise managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is a core member of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, which ranked 54th in the 2020 Fortune Global 500.
