Wuhan New Energy Research Institute

In July 2016, Wuhan New Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd. was officially established with joint funding from the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The company has established research centers with eight major technology platforms: Solar Energy Research Center, Wind Energy Research Center, Biomass Research Center, Smart Grid Research Center, New Energy Battery Research Center, Low-Carbon Energy Research Center, Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Research Center, and Energy Policy and Low-Carbon Economy Research Center. Centering on the needs of Wuhan's new energy industry development and the construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, the company, with Huazhong University of Science and Technology as the supporting institution, integrates scientific and technological resources in the new energy field within the Wuhan urban circle and at home and abroad, addresses major key technical issues in the development of the new energy industry, and establishes a technology development platform for the new energy industry. It promotes the transformation and industrialization of scientific research achievements and builds a collaborative innovation platform integrating technology research and development, technology transfer, technical services, industrial incubation, talent cultivation, and international exchange and cooperation.
