Huayu Kolbenschmidt Piston Co., Ltd. (KSHP) was established in 1997 and is a joint venture between Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. and Germany's Kolbenschmidt GmbH. The company possesses internationally advanced piston design and manufacturing technology and equipment, specializing in the production of pistons for various types of automobiles. Key customers include SAIC-GM, SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC Passenger Vehicle, Volkswagen Power, FAW-Volkswagen, Dalian Volkswagen, Changan Ford, Beijing Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Cummins, and Perkins. Additionally, products are exported to markets in Europe and North America. The KSHP Technology R&D Center was established in October 2010. Through its development, the center has gradually built an integrated R&D capability covering project management, product design, process design, quality control, experimental analysis, and sample delivery. In December 2011, the company was certified as a High-Tech Enterprise.
