Wens Foodstuff Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Wens Foodstuff"), founded in 1983, has developed into a cross-regional modern agricultural and livestock enterprise group focusing on livestock and poultry breeding, with supporting businesses. On November 2, 2015, Wens Foodstuff was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code: 300498).

As of the end of 2024, Wens Foodstuff has 387 holding companies in more than 20 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, approximately 43,000 cooperative farmer households (family farms), and about 50,000 employees. In 2024, Wens Foodstuff marketed 30.1827 million fattening pigs and 1.208 billion broiler chickens, achieving operating revenue of 104.924 billion yuan.

Wens Foodstuff is currently a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization and an innovative enterprise. It has established important research platforms including a nationally recognized enterprise technology center, a national engineering technology research center for pig breeding, a national key laboratory for pig and poultry breeding, a post-doctoral scientific research workstation, and a national-local joint engineering research center for livestock and poultry breeding. It has built a high-quality scientific research team of 1,725 people, including more than 20 industry experts, over 70 Ph.D. holders as research leaders, and more than 440 master's degree holders as research backbone.

Wens Foodstuff masters key core technologies in livestock and poultry breeding, feed nutrition, and disease prevention and control, and possesses multiple advanced breeding technologies both domestically and internationally. As of the end of 2024, Wens Foodstuff and its subordinate holding companies have accumulated 8 national science and technology awards, 95 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, 12 new livestock and poultry breeds (including 2 pigs, 9 chickens, and 1 duck), 56 new veterinary drug certificates, and 137 national computer software copyrights; they hold 301 valid invention patents (including 5 U.S. invention patents) and 500 utility model patents.
