China Water Resources and Hydropower Foreign Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "Company", with English abbreviation "CWE") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. (brand name "China Communications Construction", abbreviated as "CCCG"), a Fortune Global 500 enterprise. It is the earliest state-owned enterprise in China's water conservancy and hydropower industry to participate in international economic cooperation, with its predecessor traceable to the foreign aid institution of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power in the 1950s.
