Guangzhou Water Purification Co., Ltd. (formerly Guangzhou Municipal Sewage Treatment General Plant and Guangzhou Sewage Treatment Co., Ltd.) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangzhou Water Investment Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1989, it has developed into a large-scale state-owned sewage treatment enterprise integrating sewage treatment, construction, operation, asset management, and research and development. Adhering to the corporate mission of "Purifying Water Quality, Benefiting the People," the company provides high-quality sewage treatment engineering construction and services to citizens. It has built and operates 13 large-scale sewage treatment plants in Datansha, Liede, Lijiao, Xilang, Dashadi, Jingxi, Junhe, Longgui, Zhuliao, Shijing, Health City, Jianggao, and Daguan, with a total sewage treatment capacity of 4.96 million tons per day in the central urban area. Additionally, it operates 8 sewage treatment plants in Conghua District, with an operation and management scale leading nationwide among peers. The production processes, equipment, and operation management levels of each plant are relatively high domestically, and the effluent quality fully meets the national Class A standard and stricter provincial standards. The company vigorously promotes deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise. In 2018, its "Municipal Sewage Treatment Engineering Technical Service" product was certified as a high-tech product in Guangdong Province. It has been approved to establish 5 provincial and municipal R&D platforms, including "Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Technology Center," "Provincial Engineering Technology Center," "Guangdong Doctoral Workstation," "Guangzhou Enterprise R&D Institution," and "Guangzhou Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base."
