Hospital Introduction:
The hospital is located at No. 801, Dongfeng East Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, covering an area of 94,213 square meters (141.3 mu). Additionally, there is a residential area of 2,184 square meters (3.3 mu) at No. 89, Tianhe Straight Street, Tianhe District.

The hospital, formerly known as the Second Hospital of the Central South Air Force, was established in June 1952 and has undergone several name changes. In August 1994, it was renamed the 458th Hospital of the People's Liberation Army. In June 2004, it was transferred from the Guangzhou Military Region Air Force to the 21st Sub-Department of Joint Logistics. On September 4, 2016, it was transferred to the Southern Theater Command Air Force. In September 2018, it was officially renamed the Southern Theater Command Air Force Hospital. Currently, it primarily undertakes medical support tasks for over 38,000 officers and soldiers and their families from more than 96 units at or above the regiment level, healthcare tasks for over 2,700 officers at or above the division level, and aviation health support tasks for over 1,500 aircrew members. It also deploys three emergency medical support forces: an air medical evacuation team, a field medical post, and a field infectious disease medical post.

The hospital's administrative structure includes four departments: Medical Services, Political Work, Support, and Nursing, overseeing one epidemic prevention team, one service vehicle unit, and 37 departments, with 282 authorized beds. It operates 40 departments and specialties with 727 beds.

The hospital is equipped with large and medium-sized advanced medical research equipment, including PET/CT, MRI, linear accelerators, 16-slice spiral CT, digital subtraction angiography, digital X-ray machines, color Doppler ultrasound, flow cytometry, with a total value of approximately 190 million yuan. It houses one military medical specialty center, one key laboratory, five key specialties and specialties from the former Guangzhou Military Region, and undertakes four national key medium- and long-term projects from the '11th Five-Year Plan' and '12th Five-Year Plan', earning recognition as an 'Advanced Unit for Medical Science and Technology Work' at both the military and former Guangzhou Military Region levels.

Currently, the hospital has one 'National Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions', two recipients of government special allowances, three experts at technical level 3 or above, five doctoral and master's supervisors, 73 senior professional titles, and 81 personnel with master's degrees or above.
