Chongqing Huadi Engineering Survey and Design Institute is an enterprise legal entity established relying on Chongqing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources. Chongqing Huadi Engineering Survey and Design Institute is a key state-owned scientific research institution and technical support unit in Chongqing, mainly engaged in shale gas resource research, exploration and development, basic geological research, geological and mineral exploration, geological disaster research and emergency rescue support, land and resources informatization construction, etc. It currently has 687 on-the-job employees, among whom 305 have a master's degree or above. There are 37 talents of various titles, including recipients of special allowances from the State Council, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Chongqing, academic discipline leaders in Chongqing, innovation backbones of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and outstanding professional and technical talents in Chongqing. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Changjiang Scholars, recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and chief scientists of the National 973 and 863 Programs have been introduced as researchers of the academic committee, and a scientific and technological talent team with certain advantages and characteristics in the fields of geology, mineral resources and geological environment has been initially built. The Institute adheres to the policy of "revitalizing the institute through scientific research and strengthening the institute through technology", highlights the combination of basic scientific research and applied engineering technology research, and has built 2 * (Chongqing Shale Gas Research Center of the State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Resources and Prospecting, Chongqing Research Center of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining) and 4 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology basic platforms (Key Laboratory of Shale Gas Exploration of the Ministry of Land and Resources, Chongqing Mineral Resources Supervision and Testing Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources, Chongqing Engineering Technology Research Center for Shale Gas Resources and Exploration, Chongqing Key Laboratory of Exogenic Mineralization and Mine Environment). It has undertaken more than 260 scientific research projects, including National 973 and 863 projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Science and Technology Support Program, formulated and revised more than 100 national and industry standards, won more than 50 provincial, ministerial and various scientific and technological awards, obtained 22 national patents, and published 32 monographs. The Institute is an important technical support unit for shale gas research and exploration and development in Chongqing. Using technical achievements, it discovered the existence of shale gas in Pengshui County, Chongqing, and determined Pengshui County, Chongqing as the discovery site of shale gas. It jointly applied for shale gas as 172 independent minerals and obtained approval from the State Council; implemented the * ignition success in the land and resources system and obtained industrial gas flow in the experimental well "Qianye 1", achieving a major breakthrough in shale gas exploration in the southeastern Chongqing region; undertook and completed 15 basic research and survey evaluation projects, including the National * shale gas 863 project sub-topic - "Microseismic Monitoring Technology for Shale Gas Fracturing"; built a support platform system for shale gas research and development, investment and development, technical services, finance, and talent training, promoting Chongqing shale gas to become a window for China's shale gas exploration and development. It successfully established a joint venture with Schlumberger, a Fortune Global 500 company and the world's * largest oilfield services company, opening up channels for the introduction of key technologies for shale gas exploration and development in China. It established shale gas exploration and development companies as joint ventures with central enterprises such as China Development and Investment Corporation and China Huaneng Group. On behalf of the local government, it applied for and established China's first shale gas venture capital fund. As the * first "Shale Gas Scientific and Technological Innovation Team" in the national land and resources system, it was selected into the * first batch of the Ministry of Land and Resources Scientific and Technological Innovation Team Cultivation Program. The Institute has successively won honorary titles such as Chongqing Civilized Unit, Advanced Collective in Science and Technology of the Ministry of Land and Resources during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", Advanced Collective in Science and Technology of Chongqing, and Chongqing May 1st Labor Certificate.
