China National Gold Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Gold) is the only central enterprise in China's gold industry, the chairman unit of the China Gold Association, and the only Chinese board member unit of the World Gold Council. Its predecessor was the China National Gold Corporation, established in 1979, and it was formed with the approval of the State Council at the end of 2002. China Gold's main business includes: "development, smelting, processing, and trading of precious metals and associated metals resources; irradiation processing; related engineering and technical services." It is a large-scale mining company integrating geological exploration, mining, ore dressing and smelting, product refining, processing and sales, research and development, and engineering design and construction, with a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain. China Gold has seven major business segments: Zhongjin Gold, Zhongjin International, Zhongjin Jewellery, Zhongjin Construction, Zhongjin Resources, Zhongjin Irradiation, and Zhongjin Trading, as well as backbone enterprises such as Inner Mongolia Mining Company and Zhongjin Technology, and cultural and media enterprises such as China Gold News. It has two listed companies (the domestic A-share listed company "Zhongjin Gold" and "Zhongjin International," listed in both Canada and Hong Kong, China). The "China Gold" brand has been successfully registered with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Currently, there are over 2,000 marketing outlets for investment gold bars and gold jewelry across the country, covering major and medium-sized cities nationwide.
