Guangdong Changda Overseas Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in March 2010 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangdong Changda Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. Guangdong Changda Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in the 1950s and possesses the national Grade A qualification for highway engineering general contracting and Grade A qualification for highway industry design. Its main business has expanded from highway, bridge, and tunnel construction to investment and operation management of highway projects, technology development, and tertiary industry. The company has also obtained the right to foreign operations, enabling it to undertake overseas projects, domestic international bidding projects, and national aid projects. The company has participated in the construction of over 270 super-large and large bridge projects, including Guangzhou Luoxi Bridge, Guangdong Humen Bridge, Guangdong Humen Second Bridge, and Guangdong Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It has also invested in the construction of Guangdong Guanghui Expressway and undertook the Guangfo-Zhao Expressway under the BOT+EPC model. Guided by the national "Belt and Road" strategy, the company's international business has developed steadily, with the early opening of the Hanoi-Haiphong Expressway in Vietnam. It has completed the renovation and expansion project of Liberation Avenue in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the renovation of National Roads 56-68 in Cambodia. Many of the projects undertaken by the company have been awarded the national construction project "Luban Prize" and the China Civil Engineering "Zhan Tianyou" Award. In 1997, it was the first Chinese company to win the Ninth International Architecture Award in Spain. In 2006, the company was rated as one of China's "Top Ten Bridge Hero Teams" in transportation construction. The company has passed ISO9001 international quality management system, OSH18001 occupational health and safety management system, and ISO14001 environmental management system certifications. Currently, the company's main overseas projects under construction include: Country Garden Forest City project and land reclamation project in Malaysia, municipal road projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, projects in Mauritania, and the expansion of national highways in Cambodia.
