Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (AIRS) is one of the ten basic research institutions established by the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is founded on a new model, relying on The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and in collaboration with multiple internationally renowned research institutions.

AIRS focuses on fundamental, common, and key technology research in artificial intelligence and robotics, including machine learning, computer vision, intelligent robots, swarm intelligence, intelligent cloud computing and the Internet of Things, as well as AI applications in industry, healthcare, finance, and other fields. Since its establishment, AIRS has gathered a large number of academicians from China and abroad, renowned scholars, and industry experts to form advisory, academic, and industry committees, jointly promoting the development of the institute.
