Gensler is a leading global architecture, interior design, planning, and strategic consulting firm, founded in San Francisco in 1965. As early as the 1980s, Gensler had already entered the Chinese market. In the early 1990s, Gensler established a Hong Kong office to serve international clients expanding into the Asian market. By the late 1990s, our business had spread to cities such as Shenzhen, Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai, and Xi'an, actively participating in large-scale planning, architectural design, and corporate interior design projects. In March 2003, Gensler established a fully independent office in Shanghai, and in 2004, it became a regional wholly foreign-owned enterprise. In 2008, we also established an office in Beijing. Gensler's Shanghai office has successfully completed master planning projects exceeding 5 million square meters and architectural and interior design projects exceeding 2.5 million square meters, of which 2.8 million square meters have recently been completed or are under construction in Beijing and Shanghai. To date, the Shanghai office has completed over 160 projects, including some technically complex and challenging ones. By fully leveraging Gensler's global resources and expertise, our Chinese offices are capable of delivering high-standard, high-quality design to every client, within budget and on time.
