Guangxi Zhongwei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongwei New Materials Co., Ltd. (300919.SZ). Zhongwei New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in September 2014. After years of development, the company has become a leading comprehensive service provider of new energy materials, recognized as a National Enterprise Technology Center, National High-tech Enterprise, National Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprise, and National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise. The Guangxi Zhongwei base broke ground in April 2021, with a total planned investment of approximately RMB 33 billion and a planned land area of about 5,000 mu, developed in three phases. Phase I of the project was fully completed in 2022. The base is primarily engaged in the smelting and production (hydrometallurgical/pyrometallurgical) and comprehensive recycling of ternary precursor materials, metallic nickel/cobalt and other battery-grade materials. In 2022, the Zhongwei Qinzhou Industrial Base passed SGS carbon neutrality certification and obtained the "Carbon Neutrality Declaration Verification Certificate," becoming the first "zero-carbon factory" in the Qinzhou Port Area of the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone. In both 2023 and 2024, it was consecutively selected for the "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangxi" and "Top 100 Private Manufacturing Enterprises in Guangxi."
