国营海东船厂坐落于浙江省台州市椒江区。工厂始建于1958年，占地面积280亩，海岸线长700多米，现有正式职工及外来务工人员1000多人。企业已通过GB/T19001-2016 《质量管理体系》、GB/T24001-2016《环境管理体系》、GB/T45001-2020 《职业健康安全管理体系》，为安全生产标准化三级企业、浙江省工商企业AAA级重合同守信用单位。
目前系“浙江省船舶行业协会常务理事”“浙江省造船工程学会常务理事”、“台州市船舶工业协会常务副会长”
作为浙江省造船行业历史悠久、同时也是仅存的少数几家全资国有企业之一，国营海东造船厂无论在社会上还是在行业内均拥有良好的声誉，历年来为交通部及沿海航运单位以及水产系统、海军、武警部队以及国外客商等建造和修理了大量的船舶。
近十余年来，国营海东造船厂面向国际市场，根据现代造船模式，致力建造具有较高附加值和较高技术含量的油船/化学品船，先后为国内外船东建造了上百艘油化船、集装箱船、散货船、工程船等各类船舶，其产品质量受到船东和船级社的一致好评。
