Guangzhou Wenchong Shipbuilding and Repair Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Wenchong Repair) is a subsidiary of CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd., under China State Shipbuilding Corporation. It inherits the ship repair business of the former Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard, with over 60 years of ship repair experience, and has consistently ranked among the top ten ship repair enterprises in China for many consecutive years. Wenchong Repair is located on Longxue Island, Nansha District, Guangzhou, one of China's three major shipbuilding bases. Its plant is situated at the golden geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, bordering the Pearl River waterway to the east, adjacent to Nansha Port, and near major ports such as Hong Kong Port, Yantian Port, and Chiwan Port to the south, as well as close to five major international airports: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macau. Wenchong Repair possesses one 300,000-ton and one 400,000-ton dry dock, with approximately 2,000 meters of quay shoreline. Equipped with modern production workshops and first-class hardware resources, it can undertake repair and conversion of various types of vessels, including 400,000-ton large container ships, oil tankers, bulk carriers, engineering vessels, chemical tankers, dredgers, and public service vessels. It has successfully completed conversion projects such as the aircraft carrier "Minsk" and the research vessel "TAN SUO YI HAO" (Exploration One), accumulating rich experience and establishing a strong brand in the ship repair industry. The company has established a comprehensive offshore production management system and can undertake repair and conversion of various offshore projects, including large FPSOs, offshore oil platforms, and FSOs. It successfully delivered three large FPSO conversion projects for SBM, namely "Ilhabela," "Marika," and "Sakarima," and has successively completed repair and conversion of multiple offshore projects for domestic and international offshore industry owners, including CNOOC, Sinopec, and COSL.
