Huaguan Technology Co., Ltd. is an enterprise for the industrialization and transformation of high-end technological achievements of the National University of Defense Technology, a well-known domestic laser gyroscope manufacturer, and a wholly state-owned enterprise under the Hunan Provincial Institute of Industrial Technology Collaborative Innovation. The company was founded in 2000, and its main business is the production and service of laser gyroscopes (instruments). Laser gyroscopes are core key sensor components for navigation and positioning, guidance and control, stable and accurate aiming, attitude measurement, and overload sensing systems of space-based, air-based, sea-based, and land-based mobile equipment. They play an irreplaceable role in achieving "sensitive, timely, and accurate reconnaissance and positioning, rapid response and maneuverability, and medium- and long-range precision strikes" and in building a "land, sea, air, space (magnetic) five-dimensional integrated combat" system; they have broad application space in civil markets such as civil aviation, oil exploration, satellite communications, high-speed rail, unmanned equipment, and intelligent driving. Over the 20 years since its establishment, the laser gyroscopes developed and produced by the company have been applied to more than 40 models in various fields of our country's land, sea, air, and space, making outstanding contributions to modernization. In 2018, the company selected a new site to expand its large-scale production and R&D base, which was included in Hunan Province's first batch of major demonstration projects for military-civilian scientific and technological collaboration and key projects for building a strong manufacturing province. It is expected that by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan," it will achieve another 5-fold growth, becoming the largest and highest-level laser gyroscope industrial base in the country and an "industry-university-research-application" collaborative innovation complex for Hunan's inertial industry.
