I. About Us
Guangdong Lingnan Investigation and Design Co., Ltd. (formerly "Guangdong Lingnan Comprehensive Investigation and Design Institute", hereinafter referred to as "Lingnan Institute") was established in April 1994, focusing on fulfilling the main tasks of the Guangdong Provincial Forestry Survey and Planning Institute. While completing assigned tasks, it actively expands other market businesses related to forestry survey and planning design, making significant contributions to the development of Guangdong's forestry industry. Lingnan Institute boasts strong technical expertise and a comprehensive range of professional disciplines. It currently has 224 employees, including over 180 professional technicians, and more than 84% of them hold a bachelor's degree or above. Among the professional technicians, one third are postgraduates. The professional fields include forestry, forest management, forest cultivation, forest tourism, landscape architecture, urban planning, ecology, botany, computer science and technology, geographic information systems, grassland ecological protection and restoration, etc. The business scope mainly includes: forest-based surveys such as national resource asset inventory, continuous forest inventory, second-class forest resource surveys, special forest resource surveys, and forest supervision; special forestry plans such as forest land protection and utilization, forestry development, and forest fire prevention; special forestry reports such as integrated optimization of natural protected areas, adjustment and zoning of ecological public welfare forests, forest management plans, ecological impact analysis, and feasibility studies for land use; overall planning and design for projects such as natural parks, wetland parks, and forest ecological comprehensive demonstration parks; planning and design for forestry industries such as forest wellness, ecotourism, and nature education; consulting services for ecological construction such as forest cities, forest towns, and rural greening and beautification; and forestry informatization services such as the construction of forestry information platforms and development of computer software. Since its establishment, Lingnan Institute has continuously strengthened its professional technical capabilities, achieving rapid business development. It has completed over 2,000 forest survey and planning design projects, and more than 60 technological achievements have won national and provincial awards, earning high recognition from forestry authorities at all levels and the market. Currently, it holds professional qualifications including forest survey and planning design Grade B (A), engineering consulting credit Grade B, surveying and mapping Grade B, afforestation and greening supervision Grade C, forest pest control Grade C, and basic level (CS2) for information system construction and service capability. It has been rated as a High-tech Enterprise, a Leading Enterprise in Guangdong's Forestry Industry, and a "Keeping Contracts and Abiding by Credit" Enterprise in Guangdong (2016-2020). It has received honorary titles such as National Greening Advanced Collective, Guangdong May 1 Labor Award, and 2019-2020 Youth Civilization of the Natural Resources System. It currently holds an invention patent for a drone image sensor control device and its control method, a utility model patent for a forestry measuring instrument fixing frame, and software copyright for the forest and grassland fire risk census quadrat planning and sample tree collection system. It has published books such as "Forest Wellness Planning and Design", "Research and Practice on Eco-Public Welfare Forest Information Management System", and "Common Plants of Guangzhou Wetland Parks".
