Hunan University Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. is a state-approved Grade A design and research unit. It holds Grade A qualifications for urban and rural planning, municipal road and bridge and tunnel engineering, landscape architecture, and engineering consulting, as well as Class I qualification for construction drawing review. It also holds Grade B qualifications for tourism planning, engineering survey, water supply and drainage, environmental engineering, and highway design. In 2000, it passed the ISO-9001 quality system certification. The institute currently has more than 300 full-time technical personnel, including about 150 first-class registered architects, first-class registered structural engineers, registered planners, registered equipment engineers, and senior engineers. It has strong technical strength, a complete professional configuration, and advanced equipment. It undertakes various business activities including architectural design, municipal road, bridge and tunnel design, urban planning, landscape architecture, tourism planning and design, construction drawing review, engineering consulting, project management, agent construction, and engineering general contracting.
