Chongqing Environmental Protection Industry Private Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. was established in October 2015. With strong support from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Chongqing Municipal Government, it was jointly initiated and established by the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Chongqing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau. It is the first government-led environmental protection equity investment fund management company registered with the Asset Management Association of China. In July 2016, the company registered with the Asset Management Association of China and obtained the qualification of private equity and venture capital fund manager. In August of the same year, the first fund initiated by the company was filed with the Asset Management Association of China and officially began operation.
Based in Southwest China and with a national vision, after more than nine years of exploration, practice and steady development, the Environmental Protection Fund has established a business development direction combining equity investment, industry-investment integration and consulting services. Its investment fields cover energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, new materials, high-tech manufacturing and other areas. The Environmental Protection Fund has filed 35 funds in total and has invested in more than 120 projects, of which 8 have been listed. Its business scope covers 28 provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Guangxi.
