China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau (Shandong) Design Consulting Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned legal entity subsidiary of the Eighth Bureau, formerly the Scientific Research Institute of the 22nd Detachment of the People's Liberation Army Capital Construction Engineering Corps, established in August 1978. In September 1983, the 22nd Detachment was reorganized into the Eighth Bureau of China Construction, and the institute was renamed as the Design Office of the Eighth Bureau of China Construction. In July 1985, the Design Office obtained Grade B qualification for architectural design and was renamed as Jinan Design Institute of China Construction Engineering Corporation. In March 1993, the institute was upgraded to Grade A qualification for architectural design and renamed as Jinan Zhongjian Architectural Design Institute. In December 2007, with the overall listing of China Construction Co., Ltd. and the restructuring of the Eighth Bureau, Jinan Zhongjian Architectural Design Institute was renamed as Jinan Zhongjian Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd. On December 20, 2023, it was renamed as China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau (Shandong) Design Consulting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Design Consulting Company"). The company currently holds two design qualifications: architectural engineering design and landscape engineering design specialty, two supervision qualifications for building engineering and municipal public engineering supervision, and three supervision qualifications for mechanical and electrical installation engineering supervision, agriculture and forestry engineering supervision, and water conservancy and hydropower engineering supervision. Leveraging its comprehensive qualification advantages, the company can complete comprehensive services from project initiation, feasibility studies, project approval, project management, planning and design, schematic design, construction drawing design, design deepening, construction engineering supervision, and engineering cost consulting. Since its establishment, the company's works have spread across the motherland, from Sanya in the south to Manzhouli in the north, Kashgar in the west to Liaoyuan in the east, with diverse architectural styles covering schools, exhibition centers, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, offices, residences, villas, factories, museums, and more.
