Malanshan Audio and Video Laboratory is jointly established by the Hunan Provincial Government and the Changsha Municipal Government, positioned as a new-type research and development institution. It is dedicated to promoting the research, development and innovation of audio and video technologies, closely integrating international cutting-edge science and technology with domestic industry needs, and building a full-chain scientific and technological innovation system for audio and video covering "capture, editing, broadcasting, transmission and display."
The laboratory is organized around the "0-1-10-N" industrial key technology layout, exploring basic and cutting-edge technologies, incubating innovative application scenarios, and empowering industrial upgrading. It aims to build a multi-level and rationally structured talent team composed of academicians and experts, outstanding talents, young and middle-aged backbones, and doctoral teams. In the next five years, it will be built into a top-tier audio and video technology research center, an industry joint innovation platform and an industry empowerment base, achieving comprehensive development of the "center, platform and base" trinity.
As a landmark project of Changsha's full efforts to build a global R&D center city, the laboratory is also a key lever for creating a global source of innovation in audio and video industry technology. Adhering to the mission entrusted by the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping to Hunan for the integration of culture, science and technology, it focuses on basic and applied fields, and through strengthening scientific and technological research, strives to break through key core technologies and become a top-tier audio and video laboratory.
