New Tsinghua Unigroup is a globally competitive intelligent technology industry group, having established a strategic layout covering the entire industrial chain of semiconductors and the digital economy.
New Tsinghua Unigroup originated from Tsinghua University, with its predecessor being the Tsinghua University Science and Technology Development Corporation founded in 1988. In July 2022, New Tsinghua Unigroup completed asset restructuring and set sail with a new strategic positioning and industrial layout. In July 2024, the group was officially renamed "New Tsinghua Unigroup Co., Ltd.", leveraging new architecture, new models, and new technologies, based on its deep industry accumulation and adapting to changes of the times, to achieve accelerated development with distinctive New Tsinghua Unigroup characteristics.
New Tsinghua Unigroup has eight major business segments: mobile communications, storage, automotive electronics and intelligent chips, materials and devices, high-reliability chips, information and communication infrastructure, IT application innovation and cloud services, and finance and others. It owns dozens of well-known enterprises in related industries, represented by Unigroup Guoxin, Unigroup ThinkEngine, H3C Group, Unisoc, Unigroup Tongchuang, and Xi'an Guoxin. With core competitive technologies, products, and services, it holds leading positions in China and globally in over 20 segments, including mobile communication chips, intelligent security chips, FPGA chips, high-reliability chips, enterprise networking, hyper-converged infrastructure, switches, and servers.
New Tsinghua Unigroup and its affiliated industrial companies have accumulated nearly 30,000 patent applications, of which 80% are invention patents. R&D personnel account for over 50% of employees in key industrial companies. To date, it has won more than ten national-level science and technology awards, including the Special Prize and First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
New Tsinghua Unigroup, together with dozens of technology companies controlled by its shareholders Zhilu Capital and Jianguang Asset, merges into the "New Tsinghua Unigroup System", forming a complete semiconductor industry chain covering chip design, packaging and testing, equipment, materials, and modules, as well as a complete digital economy ecosystem covering ICT equipment, cloud services, and digital solutions. With branch offices in over 60 countries and regions, more than 30 factories worldwide, products and services covering over 100 countries and regions, total assets exceeding RMB 300 billion, and annual revenue of nearly RMB 180 billion.
