Company Profile
SiEn (Qingdao) Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. is located in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, China, and is China's collaborative integrated circuit manufacturing (CIDM) project. The company was jointly established in 2018 by Ningbo SiEn Investment Management Partnership (Limited Partnership), the Administrative Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Administrative Committee of Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone, and Qingdao Aucma Holding Group Co., Ltd. This project aims to achieve mass production of 8-inch and 12-inch chips for high-end analog-digital mixed and special processes, as well as advanced photomasks, and other integrated circuit products. By attracting renowned domestic and international chip design, manufacturing, packaging and testing enterprises to settle in, it aims to build a domestically advanced vertical integrated chip factory comparable in scale to advanced foreign IDMs.

Based on market and customer needs, and to establish and improve a complete semiconductor industry chain and ecosystem, Dr. Zhang Rujing and his team developed the CIDM (Commune Integrated Device Manufacture) model suitable for China's semiconductor industry development. CIDM means shared and co-owned integrated device manufacturing company, where C stands for Commune or Communal, meaning co-ownership and sharing.
