Wuhan Industrial Research Institute Management Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Wuhan Industrial Research Institute") is a second-tier enterprise of Wuhan Investment Holding Group. It was established in January 2024 with a registered capital of 136 million yuan.
With the mission of "insight into industry, vision of the future," Wuhan Industrial Research Institute focuses on three core businesses: "sci-tech innovation think tank, sci-tech innovation services, and sci-tech innovation investment." It integrates resources such as industry, capital, data, and talent, and is committed to building a comprehensive sci-tech innovation service platform with a well-developed ecosystem, facilitating the deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain. In terms of the sci-tech innovation think tank, it jointly established the Wuhan State-owned Enterprise Innovation Research Center with Beijing Decheng and Shanghai Guoyan to carry out research, consulting, and training in industrial innovation and technological innovation. It joined the Science and Technology Investment Working Group of the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and actively organized sci-tech investment activities. Its sci-tech journal, Special Casting & Nonferrous Alloys, focuses on academic exchange and display of sci-tech innovation achievements in special casting methods and nonferrous alloy processing applications, providing valuable technical information and a communication platform for industry development. In terms of sci-tech innovation services, according to the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, it built and operates the Wuchuangtong Sci-tech Innovation Service Platform (Wuhan Node of the Hubei Sci-tech Innovation Supply Chain Platform), established a special zone for the transformation of achievements by university teachers and students, and locally deployed an AI service assistant to provide one-stop, high-quality digital sci-tech services for four types of users: government, enterprises, research teams, and sci-tech service institutions. Currently, more than 20,000 sci-tech enterprises, 879 service institutions, and 2,461 technology managers have settled in, with 27,221 various demands and 7,126 achievements collected, and 5,959 supply-demand matches facilitated. In terms of sci-tech innovation investment, it established Wuhan Future Technology Investment Co., Ltd., and together with relevant units of the Group, launched the Sci-tech Innovation Dream "Capital" Nourishment Plan to provide financing services covering different stages for sci-tech innovation enterprises. Its affiliated enterprise, Wuhan Smart Industry Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., has fund manager qualifications and initiated the establishment of the Wuchuangxing University Teachers and Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fund with a total scale of 1 billion yuan and a first phase of 200 million yuan, focusing on early-stage, small-scale, and technology investments, closely connecting university laboratories with enterprise production lines.
