Guangzhou Hongyu Technology Co., Ltd. was established in April 2000. It is the enterprise operation entity of the National Engineering Research Center for Mobile Communications, wholly owned by the Seventh Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. In 2003, it was certified by the Guangzhou Municipal Economic Commission as one of the first batch of integrated circuit enterprises in Guangzhou. Currently, it serves as the executive director unit of the Guangzhou Electronic Industry Association, the deputy director unit of the Semiconductor Committee, and the deputy director unit of the RFID Professional Committee. The company's main technical field is the development and production of related equipment and systems in the mobile communications domain. It is currently undertaking the research task of "Development and Manufacturing Technology of Medium and High Speed Sensor Network System Equipment and Access Equipment" under the project "Research and Industrialization of Short-range Wireless Interconnection and Wireless Sensor Networks" of the National Science and Technology Major Project "New Generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Network". Its main achievements include analog and digital cellular phones, multimedia mobile communication terminals and systems, GSM repeaters, anti-interference IC chip design, mobile communication terminal processing IC chips, and handheld multimedia terminals. The company possesses advanced software and system design tools and equipment, and has undertaken several major new technology development projects and various computer system integration projects. The company owns independent intellectual property rights for anti-interference chips, which have passed military acceptance and can be widely used in military communications. Meanwhile, the civil data transmission system developed by the company is widely used in areas such as remote wireless meter reading for water, electricity, heat, and gas, long-distance monitoring, and fire safety alarms, achieving good economic and social benefits. The company also has an advanced SMT production line for engineering development and pilot production, and is a designated training base by the Guangdong SMT Professional Committee.
