Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Shanghai Electric Power", stock code 600021.SH), originating in 1882, is a modern energy enterprise integrating the supply and services of thermal power, wind power, photovoltaic, hydrogen energy, energy storage, and integrated smart energy. It is one of the major listed companies and the international development platform of State Power Investment Corporation Limited, a Fortune Global 500 company. It is also one of the main comprehensive energy suppliers and service providers in Shanghai, as well as the largest thermal energy supplier in the city.
As of the end of June 2025, the total assets of Shanghai Electric Power exceed RMB 199.5 billion, with assets and businesses distributed across 27 provinces and nearly 10 countries worldwide. The total controlled installed capacity reaches 25.8 million kilowatts, with clean energy accounting for 61.83%.
Over the years, Shanghai Electric Power has received honors such as the National May Day Labor Certificate, National Civilized Unit, and China's Outstanding Contribution Unit for Reform, and has been awarded the Global Excellence Award for Performance (from the Asia-Pacific Quality Organization, APQO) and the Shanghai Quality Gold Award.
