Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Minhai Company) is located at No. 35 Simiao Road, Daxing Biomedical Industry Base, Zhongguancun Science Park, and was established in June 2004 with an investment scale of nearly 2 billion yuan. In 2008, it underwent strategic restructuring with Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd. (listed on February 7, 2017, stock code: 300601), becoming its wholly-owned subsidiary. Minhai Company has always been a national high-tech enterprise and a G20 enterprise in Beijing, with its main business being the R&D, production, and sales of human-use vaccine products.

Phase I of Minhai Company covers an area of 100 mu and began production in 2012. To date, four vaccine products have been launched on the market: "Acellular DTP-Hib Combined Vaccine," "Hib Conjugate Vaccine," "Measles and Rubella Combined Live Attenuated Vaccine," and "23-valent Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine," breaking the foreign technology monopoly. The company has established a sound market operation and management mechanism, with sales coverage across 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide, and sales revenue has grown by more than 50% annually over the past three years. Phase II covers 135 mu, and project initiation and environmental impact assessment were completed in April 2019.

Minhai Company currently employs 1,336 people, including 230 R&D personnel and 90 with master's degrees or above. Five team leaders have successively received the honorary title of "New Creation Project." Multiple core technical personnel have led or participated in over 40 national, provincial, and municipal science and technology projects, including 863 and Major New Drug Creation programs, with cumulative support funds exceeding 200 million yuan. It has also established a "Postdoctoral Research Workstation" and "Academician Expert Workstation," recruiting experts in the biomedical field to provide strong support for the strategic direction of vaccine R&D and tackling difficulties in the development process. It has over 20 ongoing R&D projects, with cumulative R&D investment of approximately 600 million yuan over the years. Additionally, four vaccine products have applied for production registration approvals and are under review; 11 vaccine products have obtained clinical trial approvals and are undergoing clinical trials; and several vaccine products are in preclinical research, indicating a rich and sustained product pipeline.

Through independent technological innovation, Minhai Company has established six modern new vaccine R&D technology platforms. To date, it has applied for 37 national invention patents and has been granted 21 invention patents, including one PCT patent. In December 2018, it passed the intellectual property management system certification and obtained the "Intellectual Property Management System Certification Certificate" issued by Zhongzhi (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd. In addition, Minhai Company has numerous honorary qualifications: "Beijing Enterprise Technology Center," Beijing's "G20 Engineering Enterprise," "Beijing Key Laboratory of New Conjugate Vaccine Technology," "Beijing Engineering Laboratory for New Vaccines," "Beijing Engineering Technology Research Center for New Combined Vaccines," "Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for New Vaccines," "Beijing Patent Demonstration Unit," "National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for New Vaccine Technology Development," "Academician Expert Workstation," "Postdoctoral Research Workstation," "Liu Jiankai Innovation Studio," and "National Model Worker Pioneer," among others.
