Wuhan Refining & Chemical Engineering Design Co., Ltd. is a technology-based enterprise. Its predecessor was Wuhan Petrochemical Design Institute, founded in March 1979, affiliated with Wuhan Petrochemical Plant of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group). In December 2005, it was restructured into Wuhan Refining & Chemical Engineering Design Co., Ltd. In September 2011, it was acquired by Hunan Baili Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. and became its wholly-owned subsidiary. On May 17, 2016, it was officially listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock name: Baili Technology, stock code: 603959).
