河北省天然气有限责任公司成立于2001年4月27日，是经河北省人民政府批准，由河北省建设投资公司出资设立的一家从事天然气输送、销售及综合利用、危险货物运输、液化天然气进口等业务的现代化燃气企业。2010年，公司联合建投新能源公司资产，纳入河北建投集团旗下新天绿色能源股份有限公司（股票代码：00956.HK），成为其H股上市公司重要组成部分。2020年，新天绿色能源股份有限公司（股票代码：600956.SH）回归A股，成为国内首家A+H风电及天然气运营上市公司。目前股权结构为新天绿色能源股份有限公司持股55%、香港中华煤气（河北）有限公司持股43%、赣州茂康投资管理合伙企业（有限合伙）持股2%，注册资本19亿元。公司始终秉承“安全供气、改善环境、致力民生、服务大众”的社会承诺。经过二十余年的发展，拥有长输管线千余公里，城镇管网六千余公里，为省内50余家市县、万余家公福商业用户提供天然气供应，为河北省的能源结构调整和环境的可持续发展做出了突出贡献。
