宁波市天一建筑设计有限公司原为宁波市城展设计咨询有限公司，始建于1995年5月，是由宁波市城乡建委出资60%，宁波市建筑设计院出资40%共同组建，从事建筑工程设计、工程建设监理、技术咨询的有限责任公司。2002年公司实行改制，并更名为宁波市天一建筑设计有限公司。
2008年8月公司将注册资本从150万元提高到300万元，2009年11月公司成功取得了建筑工程设计甲级资质，使公司综合实力有了质的飞跃。
公司目前通过了ISO9001:2008国际质量体系认证。技术力量雄厚，现有专业技术人员54人，其中教授级建筑师2人，高级建筑师、高级工程师10人，建筑师、工程师30人。现有国家一级注册建筑师3人，二级注册建筑师6人，国家一级注册结构工程师3人，给排水注册师１人，电气注册师１人，暖通注册师１人。专业配套齐全，设有建筑、结构、给排水、建筑电气、暖通空调、建筑经济、工程勘察等专业。
