Shenzhen Sheliang Social Work Service Center

Shenzhen Sheliang Social Work Service Center was approved and registered by the Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau in July 2007. It is one of the earliest professional non-governmental social work service organizations established in Shenzhen and also one of the earliest in China. Since its establishment, the organization has been awarded honorary titles such as National Top 100 Social Work Service Organization, Shenzhen 5A-Level Social Organization, Shenzhen Excellent Social Work Service Organization, and "Top Ten Public Welfare Organizations." Its professional services passed the ISO9001 International Quality Management System certification in 2017. The organization is also a council member unit of the China Association of Social Workers, the Guangdong Social Work Association, and the Shenzhen Federation of Social Organizations. It serves as the Executive Vice President of the Guangdong Sociological Society and the Vice President of the Guangdong Social Work Association, the Shenzhen Association of Social Workers, and the Shenzhen Luohu District Association of Social Workers. It is also a practical training base for social work professionals in Shenzhen. Since its establishment, the organization has actively participated in the Shenzhen municipal government's procurement of social work positions and project services, continuously providing social work services to vulnerable groups and service recipients in need through professional, standardized, and project-based operations. Its services have gradually expanded from community and judicial fields to more than ten fields including social psychology, mental health, educational counseling, community correction, people's mediation, drug prohibition and rehabilitation, disability services, and anti-cult work, covering all administrative and functional areas of Shenzhen. While rooted in Shenzhen, it has gradually expanded to the Pearl River Delta and other provinces and cities, successively establishing and incubating multiple 5A-level sister organizations under the same brand in Guangzhou, Foshan, Bijie, and other places, creating a professional service platform for the group-based development of China's social work industry. After eighteen years of development, the organization has received widespread praise from supervisory units at all levels, employing units, and service recipients. The organization and its employees have cumulatively won nearly 1,000 awards of various kinds. It has successively published three monographs: "Shenzhen Social Work Practice," "Case Work Skills Training Manual," and "Localization Innovation and Practice of Social Work," co-published "Community China: The Practice of 'Being Together as a Community,'" and published hundreds of professional articles and cases in key publications, with tens of thousands of media reports.
