About the Company

Yangcheng Evening News, first published on October 1, 1957, was the first large-scale comprehensive evening newspaper founded after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. It was suspended during the Cultural Revolution. It resumed publication before the Spring Festival in 1981, with the masthead inscribed by Ye Jianying. It is now affiliated with the Yangcheng Evening News Press Group. The newspaper was once the highest-circulation newspaper in the Guangzhou area. In 2003, Yangcheng Evening News ranked among the top 20 global daily newspapers by circulation.
