The predecessor of the company, "Hengshun Machinery Factory", was founded in 1895. It is now affiliated with Chongqing Machinery & Electric Holding (Group) Co., Ltd., a Fortune China 500 enterprise, and is a core enterprise under Chongqing Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd., a Hong Kong-listed company (02722.HK).
The company mainly designs, develops and manufactures various complete sets of hydro-generator units and power station control equipment, large and medium-sized pumps, large and medium-sized motors and light rail supports, and has system integration capabilities for engineering general contracting and industrial services. Since producing China's first water turbine in 1938, the company has provided more than 6,000 sets of hydro-generator units, large and medium-sized pump sets and technical services to more than 3,000 power stations and pumping stations at home and abroad. Its products are sold to more than 40 countries around the world, and the total number of power stations served and the number of unit sets provided rank first in China.
The company has a complete system for R&D, manufacturing, testing and inspection, and service. It owns more than 200 patented technologies, including more than 30 invention patents; it has more than 150 large-scale high-precision and advanced equipment; it has passed China CQC and Lloyd's Register quality system certification; its experimental testing center has obtained CNAS accreditation.
