DC International

DC International Design Group (DC Alliance) is composed of DC International Architectural Design Office, Didong Architecture (Class A architectural design), and C+D Design Research Center. Since establishing operations in Shanghai in 2001 to develop business in China, DC International's design projects have covered East China, the Beijing-Tianjin region, Central China, and Southwest China, achieving remarkable results. DC International has always adhered to the pursuit of architectural practicality, spatial justice, and modern inheritance of culture, forming a distinct and independent design personality. In 2012, DC International was named Design Institution of the Year by Time Architecture and won the China Architecture Media Award in the same year. This award is China's first architectural award that emphasizes social evaluation of architecture, reflects civic perspective, and realizes civic participation, with "social significance and humanistic care of architecture" as its judging criteria. It is also the first architectural award in China to comprehensively include buildings from the four regions across the strait. In August 2013, DC International was named "Best Architectural Design Firm of the Year" by di Design New Wave. DC International and C+D Design Research Center are currently led by Ping Gang, Jie Yong, Wan Jiangjiao, Cui Zhe, and Dong Yi, who won the "Good design is good business" design award from BusinessWeek/Architectural Record in 2008. DC International's design business is currently carried out by three business units: Residential and Senior Living Real Estate Business Unit, Commercial Real Estate Business Unit, and C+D Design Research Center, providing services in multiple fields including architectural design, urban design, and urban renewal. Professional services include apartments, villas, senior living real estate, commercial complexes, and tourism real estate for commercial real estate projects. The C+D Design Research Center focuses more on applying academic research to project practices such as boutique hotels, educational buildings, industrial park R&D, and urban renewal. DC's honors: In 2005, the Liuzhou Liugong Group headquarters project was selected for the New York Architecture Week; in 2005, the Ningbo Eastern New Town school was selected for the New York Architecture Week; in 2007, Cicheng Middle School was selected for the 69th NSBA International School Architecture Exhibition; in 2008, DC International received the "Good design is good business" design award jointly issued by BusinessWeek and Architectural Record; in 2008, DC International was named "Most Promising Company in the Yangtze River Delta" by Design New Wave; in 2011, DC International was invited to participate in the 2011 Chengdu Biennale; in 2012, DC International was named Design Institution of the Year by Time Architecture; in 2012, the talent apartment project won the first place in the "Golden Plate Award for Best Apartment of the Year" awarded by Time Property; in 2012, DC International won the China Architecture Media Award, which is China's first architectural award focusing on social evaluation of architecture, reflecting civic perspective, realizing civic participation, and taking "social significance and humanistic care of architecture" as the judging criteria. It is also the first architectural award in China to comprehensively include buildings from all four regions across the strait. In 2013, the DC International talent apartment project was featured as a special topic in Architectural Record, the journal of the American Institute of Architects; in 2013, DC International was invited to attend the "2020 Housing China" conference at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong and delivered a keynote speech; in the international competition for the Eco office building in Lima, Peru, DC International stood out from over a thousand entries and won sixth place; invited to participate in Beijing Design Week (September 26-October 3), the 3D printed work "DC Chess" created by Dr. Dong Yi, a partner architect of DC International, received widespread acclaim; in 2013, DC International was named "Best Architectural Design Firm of the Year" by di Design New Wave.
