China Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CJIC Group") was established in 1980 with the approval of the State Council. It is one of the first eight comprehensive state-owned foreign economic cooperation enterprises in China to be granted the right to operate internationally, and it is the only provincial state-owned enterprise in Jiangsu Province that is entitled to use the "China" prefix in its name, with engineering contracting as its core business and a global market layout. Over years of development, the Group has established permanent offices in more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, and conducts foreign economic and trade business in over 100 countries and regions. It has been selected for 31 consecutive years in the "Top 250 International Contractors" list compiled by Engineering News-Record (ENR) of the United States, and has won numerous accolades including the Top 500 Chinese Service Enterprises and the Top 200 Chinese Construction Industry Competitiveness rankings.
The Group has undertaken a series of major tasks assigned by the national and provincial governments, including leading the development and operation of the China-UAE Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park, centrally managing non-profit government investment projects at the provincial level, providing financial support for the renovation of shantytowns across the province, and serving high-quality national and provincial major strategies. In recent years, in accordance with the work deployment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, the Group is striving to build itself into a leading enterprise in the province's construction industry, aiming to become the pioneer in the modernization of the province's construction industry, the main force in infrastructure and urban construction, and the vanguard in the province's "going global" development.
