Spring Airlines

Spring Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Spring Airlines) made its maiden flight on July 18, 2005, and is one of the first private airlines in China. As of April 2026, Spring Airlines has a fleet of 134 Airbus A320 series aircraft with an average age of 8.21 years. Its route network covers major business and tourist cities in China, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia, operating over 210 routes and transporting 29 million passengers annually.

While ensuring safety, Spring Airlines focuses on operational punctuality and service quality, respects passengers' choices, and is committed to providing a variety of affordable travel products.

Spring Airlines is headquartered in Shanghai and has bases in Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Shenzhen, Yangzhou (Taizhou), Ningbo, Lanzhou, Jieyang (Chaoshan), Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Dalian, Nanchang, and Jeju, South Korea, actively implementing an international development strategy. Spring Airlines is an airline that innovated from its start and operates safely and smoothly, with B2C online sales and mobile direct sales as its main sales channels, accounting for 85% of online sales and 30% of mobile sales, ranking first in the industry; its unit fuel consumption is 28% lower than the industry average, and its per capita exhaust emissions are 40% lower than the industry average, ranking first in China's civil aviation industry.

Spring Airlines has innovatively developed its own sales system (IDS), departure control system (DCS), operation control system (FOC), and maintenance information system (MIS) as the first in the civil aviation industry.
On January 21, 2015, Spring Airlines conducted its initial public offering of A-shares, entering the capital market and becoming the first privately owned airline in China's civil aviation to be listed, which was fully recognized by the capital market.
Starting from October 15, 2018, after the renovation of Terminal 1 at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport was completed, it has served passengers with a new look, including one-stop intelligent facilities such as self-service check-in, self-service bag drop, self-service verification, and self-service boarding, and Spring Airlines became the first airline in China to attempt to use intelligent airport self-service services. Since February 2019, Spring Airlines has equipped newly introduced aircraft with new seats with a fixed recline angle of 114 degrees for greater passenger comfort.

Spring Airlines is the first private airline in China to receive the Civil Aviation Administration of China's safety star rating honor.
In October 2025, Spring Airlines obtained the "Highest Safety Rating" certification from AirlineRatings, an international aviation professional evaluation agency.
In June 2025, Spring Airlines achieved 4 million hours of continuous safe flight. The Civil Aviation Administration of China awarded Spring Airlines the "Four-Star Flight Safety Award."
In 2025, it ranked first in flight punctuality among major domestic airlines.

In 2022, it ranked first in on-time arrival punctuality among major domestic passenger airlines.
In 2018 and 2019, Spring Airlines was the only airline to receive the Civil Aviation Administration's "Four Rates" (safety, punctuality, passenger satisfaction, and flight execution rate) all-A standard for two consecutive years.
From 2017 to 2019, it ranked first in on-time arrival punctuality among large and medium-sized airlines in mainland China for three consecutive years.
On July 18, 2005, Spring Airlines' first Airbus A320 aircraft took off on its maiden flight from Shanghai to Yantai, starting its journey to chase dreams in the blue sky.

Now, with the Spring Airlines Airbus fleet exceeding 130 aircraft, Spring Airlines can more fully adjust its capacity, positively promoting the expansion of its route network and increasing its share of the short- and medium-haul aviation market, providing more passengers with safe, punctual, high-quality, and affordable air travel services.
