Guangdong Vocational College of Posts and Telecommunications

Guangdong Vocational College of Posts and Telecommunications (*) is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the provincial government. It was officially established on April 28, 2002, affiliated with Guangdong Telecom Industry Group Corporation, with education business supervised by the Provincial Department of Education, offering junior college programs. Its predecessor is Guangdong Provincial Posts and Telecommunications School, which has a history of over sixty years and is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy of Guangdong Posts and Telecommunications". In early 2008, Guangzhou Training Branch of Guangdong Communications Industry Service Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong listed company, stock code 0552.HK) was established, operating with the college under the "two brands, one team" model.
The college is located in the Tianhe university cultural area of Guangzhou, with convenient transportation, elegant environment, and superior conditions. The college has 350 faculty and staff members, covering an area of over 100,000 square meters, with a building area of over 70,000 square meters, equipped with comprehensive training, teaching, experiment, practical training, conference, accommodation, and sports facilities. The college possesses modern teaching and research equipment and instruments, as well as advanced and well-managed office networks, campus networks, distance education networks, and other computer network systems.
The college operates according to educational principles and manages with enterprise-oriented methods, focusing on academic education and on-the-job training as its main businesses, integrating education, research, and industry, and establishing a diversified business development model that primarily serves the communication industry and covers various social industries.

It has four departments: Mobile Communication, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, and Economics and Management, offering majors including Communication Technology, Mobile Communication Technology, Computer Application, Software Technology, Business Administration, Financial Management and Practice, Marketing and Planning, and Project Management.
