Guangzhou Lingnan Cable Co., Ltd., founded in 1995, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (stock code: 002169) and a high-tech enterprise. The company has introduced a complete Finnish MAILLEFER 500kV VCV vertical cross-linking production line, equipped with advanced process technologies including online stress relaxation system, SIKORA online eccentricity gauge, insulation impurity online detection system, conductor preheater, Class 100 purification feeding system, PSU process support system, and NCC process design system. It has also introduced an advanced Swiss HAEFELY 700kV high-voltage test and partial discharge detection system, which features high anti-interference performance, automatic identification of discharge pulses, and accurate positioning, with background noise less than 1PC. Additionally, it is equipped with a 3000kV impulse voltage test device and a thermal cycling test system, meeting the requirements for lightning impulse voltage tests and thermal cycling tests of cables.

The company's main products include cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables up to 220kV, plastic insulated power cables, control cables, as well as specialty products such as environmentally friendly anti-termite cables, halogen-free low-smoke flame-retardant cables, distributed optical fiber temperature measurement cables, optical-electronic composite smart cables, and water-tree-resistant cables. The 110kV cable passed the "New Product and New Technology Appraisal and Scientific and Technological Achievement Appraisal" in 1999; the 220kV cable passed the pre-qualification test in 2004, making the company one of the first manufacturers in China to pass the pre-qualification test; the 10-35kV cables passed the "New Product and New Technology Appraisal" in 1998, among which the 20kV flame-retardant Class A power cable passed the new product appraisal by the Guangdong Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission. The main products have been rated as "Guangdong Province Famous and Excellent High-Tech Products".

The company has passed ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 management system certifications and has established ERP and OA management systems. It is an excellent supplier of China Southern Power Grid, an advanced unit in disaster relief in 1998, an excellent unit for ensuring power supply during the 2010 Asian Games and the 2011 Universiade, and has been rated as a "Contract-honoring and Credit-keeping Unit" for 24 consecutive years.
