Pearl River Film Media Co., Ltd. was established in 2011 as a film industry operation platform integrating production, promotion, distribution, and exhibition, created by Pearl River Film Group to drive business transformation and upgrading. Currently, Pearl River Film Media's main businesses include cinema chain operation, cinema investment and management, film promotion and distribution, film investment and production, and film and television production services. As of May 2023, the China Film South New Film Line cinema chain under its jurisdiction operates 1,032 cinemas, with 6,276 screens and 773,948 seats. In recent years, its annual box office has consistently ranked 5th among national cinema chains, holding approximately 7% of the national market share and about 34% of Guangdong's market share. Pearl River Film Media directly operates and manages over 70 cinemas, distributed across Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Lanzhou, Foshan, and other cities. Over the past three years, Pearl River Film Media has participated in the distribution of over 30 films, with a total box office of approximately 10.5 billion yuan. Among them, the Cantonese opera film "The Legend of White Snake" (Baishe Zhuan: Qing), led by its national distribution, set a record for box office revenue in Chinese opera films and won the Outstanding Story Film Award at the 19th China Huabiao Film Awards and a nomination for Best Opera Film at the 32th China Golden Rooster Awards. Additionally, it has invested in over 20 films, with a total box office of approximately 26 billion yuan, with representative works including "Detective Chinatown 3," "Hi, Mom," "Home Coming," and "The Wandering Earth 2."
