The company was established in 1992 and is a wholly-owned civilian product company under the No. 705 Research Institute. It primarily focuses on the design, development, production, sales, and service of petroleum logging instruments and equipment, and petroleum-specific equipment, as well as the production and trade of mechanical products, while also undertaking some military production tasks. (Renamed to China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Xi'an No. 705 Research Institute Haiyuan Measurement and Control Technology Co., Ltd. on January 23, 2013.)
The company currently employs over 200 staff members, with a dense concentration of talent, comprehensive scientific research capabilities, well-equipped experimental facilities, and a technical team that has accumulated extensive engineering design experience through years of research and development of petroleum drilling and logging instruments. It has successively developed and produced the CDC repeat formation tester, various models of hydraulic powered calipers, ZCY hydraulic and mechanical borehole geometry logging tools, RXJ flexible sub, imperial accessories for foreign RFT and DRS instruments, skid-mounted auxiliary units for petroleum associated gas compressors, molecular sieve skids, etc., which are widely used in major oil fields across the country.
