Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Huazhong Press) is located by the scenic Tangxun Lake in Wuhan, within the National University Science Park at the core of China Optics Valley. It is a national key university press directly under the Ministry of Education and was among the earliest university presses to complete enterprise restructuring and operate on a market-oriented basis. It holds four major publishing rights: books, audio-visual products, electronic publications, and online publications. The company currently has over 300 employees, more than 80% of whom are editorial and research personnel with bachelor's degrees or above; in addition to its Wuhan headquarters, Huazhong Press has publishing business branches in Beijing, Tianjin, and Guangzhou.
