CITIC Futures Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CITIC Securities"). Founded in 1995, CITIC Securities has developed from a small and medium-sized securities firm into an international investment bank with A+H comprehensive operations over more than two decades. As of the end of December 2022, CITIC Securities had total assets of RMB 1,308.3 billion and net assets attributable to the parent company of RMB 253.1 billion. In 2022, it achieved operating revenue of RMB 65.1 billion and net profit attributable to the parent company of RMB 21.3 billion, both ranking top in the industry.

CITIC Futures Co., Ltd. was established on March 30, 1993. In 2007, it was fully acquired by CITIC Securities. In 2011, the company absorbed and merged with Zhejiang Xinhua Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd., and in 2014, it absorbed and merged with CITIC Xinji Futures Co., Ltd.
The company's business scope includes commodity futures brokerage, financial futures brokerage, futures trading consultancy, asset management, and fund sales. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the company has 50 branches in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou, as well as 393 securities IB service outlets, covering the entire country.
The company is a member of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange, Shanghai International Energy Exchange, and Guangzhou Futures Exchange, a comprehensive clearing member of the China Financial Futures Exchange, and a governing unit of the China Futures Association.
The company has a registered capital of RMB 7.6 billion, with healthy and stable development across all businesses. Core operating indicators such as client margin, trading volume, operating revenue, and net profit all rank among the forefront of the industry. In 2022, it achieved operating revenue of RMB 10.486 billion and net profit of RMB 970 million. As of the end of December 2022, the scale of client margin reached RMB 133.3 billion.
The company also has subsidiaries including CITIC CITIC Capital Management Co., Ltd., CITIC Global Commodity Trading Co., Ltd., and XinQi International Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., which can provide risk management, spot-futures business, overseas derivatives brokerage, and trading consultancy services to a wide range of institutions.
