Guangzhou Light Industry Import & Export Group Co., Ltd. was born at the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, standing on the banks of the Pearl River in the heart of Yangcheng. Established in 1956 through the public-private partnership of multiple trading firms, it is one of the earliest professional foreign trade enterprises in Guangzhou and even China, known in the industry as the "Whampoa Military Academy of Foreign Trade." Over the past 60 years, Guangzhou Light Industry has strongly supported the development of the light industry in the Pearl River Delta, earning numerous honors and awards. It has become a state-owned foreign trade group integrating import and export and domestic trade, consistently ranking among the top 500 enterprises in Guangdong Province and the top 100 service industry enterprises in Guangdong Province. It has 13 subsidiaries, one overseas company, an annual revenue exceeding 5 billion yuan, and owns multiple large warehouses. The company has always adhered to the business philosophy of "Integrity in Service, Steady Progress," and has been awarded the title of "Abiding by Contracts and Keeping Promises" enterprise in Guangdong Province for 25 consecutive years. It has passed the ISO9001:2015 quality management system certification, and several of its subsidiaries have obtained AEO Advanced Certification from customs.
