Chongqing Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. is a large state-controlled modern pharmaceutical distribution enterprise serving the entire pharmaceutical industry chain. It is also engaged in medical device production, marketing authorization holder business, and invests in the pharmaceutical industry. It is a controlled subsidiary of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd. (stock code: 000950), a listed company on the A-share market. The Group's predecessor was the Southwest Branch of China Pharmaceutical Company, established in 1950. It is a designated reserve unit for pharmaceuticals and medical devices at both the central and Chongqing levels, and is one of only three national wholesale enterprises in China dealing in narcotic drugs and Class * psychotropic drugs. Its enterprise scale and market coverage rank among the leading in western China. In 2021, the Group's operating revenue was 62.520 billion yuan, and total profit was 1.483 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 38.26% and 5.72% respectively. It ranks among the top five in China's pharmaceutical commercial industry and 358th in China's Top 500 Enterprises. It has more than 200 subsidiaries at all levels and over 14,000 employees, with operations in 29 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country.
