Fujian Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Fujian Benz) was established in June 2007 and is located in Qingkou Automobile Industrial Park, Minhou County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It was jointly funded by Mercedes-Benz Light Vehicle Hong Kong Limited, Beijing Automotive Co., Ltd., and Fujian Provincial Automotive Industry Group Co., Ltd. It boasts the largest Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle production base in the Asia-Pacific region and the largest commercial vehicle R&D center of Mercedes-Benz Group overseas. It is a joint venture integrating R&D, complete vehicle production, sales, and after-sales service. Fujian Benz has a total investment of 434.6 million euros, with a registered capital of 287 million euros. The total planned production and logistics land area is 660,000 square meters, with the first phase covering 330,000 square meters and a building area of 162,000 square meters. Through the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz Production System (MPS), Fujian Benz has complete supporting facilities and a strict quality management system, making it the commercial vehicle production base with the most complete product line in the Asia-Pacific region for Mercedes-Benz Group. The first phase has an annual planned capacity of 40,000 vehicles. Since its establishment, Fujian Benz has successively launched five main models: Viano, Vito, Sprinter, V-Class, and New Vito, providing Chinese customers with comprehensive and ultimate premium experiences. At the same time, Fujian Benz, together with domestic professional authorized modification plants, has developed a variety of luxury modified vehicles and a series of special-purpose modified vehicles for different scenarios based on existing base models, fully satisfying customers' business and life needs while also providing strong support for industries such as public security, procuratorate, judiciary, and medical health. The Fujian Benz R&D Center, with a total investment of 500 million RMB, officially commenced operations in 2013. It strictly adheres to the global unified standards of Mercedes-Benz Group in design, construction, and equipment, and is committed to providing more personalized products for Chinese high-end commercial vehicle users. The completion of the Fujian Benz R&D Center has not only improved its product design and development capabilities and its speed and accuracy in responding to the demands of the Chinese commercial vehicle market, but also serves as an open technical platform, providing testing services and technical support to related enterprises and institutions in the industry. While excelling in high-end manufacturing, Fujian Benz actively fulfills its corporate social responsibility. In September 2018, it released its public welfare brand "Qimingxing Plan".
