合肥中科离子医学技术装备有限公司(以下简称“中科离子”)成立于2016年，是中国科学院和安徽省人民政府共同打造的合肥综合性国家科学中心创新平台。中科离子坚持面向人民健康需求，专注高端医疗器械领域，主要从事质子治疗系统的设计、生产和运行、维护，致力于提供质子治疗中心建设及运营全周期解决方案，打造离子医学技术装备科技创新和产业化基地。
中科离子是高新技术企业，产品涵盖质子放射治疗系统、系列多能级回旋加速器及其他三类医疗器械，先后承担国家、省级重大科技项目十余项，主导制定国家和地方标准20余项，授权专利近300项。超导质子治疗系统相关专利荣获第22届中国专利金、银奖各一项。
中科离子多人入选“万人计划”人才、青年拔尖人才、省“百人计划”和省“115”产业创新团队等，拥有一批自主创新能力强、研发经验丰富的技术与工程队伍。同时，公司与俄罗斯JINR、瑞士PSI和意大利INFN等研究所建了稳定的合作交流关系，入选科技部“中国-俄罗斯超导质子一带一路联合实验室”和“国家引才引智示范基地”。
